The Australian fashion industry got a big tick of approval by Hollywood stars at the Academy Awards.
E! News host Giuliana Rancic chose to wear a dress by Adelaide label Paolo Sebastian as she hosted the live coverage of the Oscars red carpet at Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
The whip thin star was gushing over the princess-style gown until it split on live television. The glamorous frock combined a floral patterned embellished bodice and below a mass of tulle that fell all the way to the ground.
The famous presenter raved about Australian fashion when asked about the dress, a creation of Adelaide designer Paul Vasileff.
Unfortunately Giuliana's princess bubble was soon burst when the zip on the dress broke open on live TV. As the broadcast returned from a commercial break, Rancic shifted uncomfortably in her chair.
She decided not to hide the wardrobe malfunction from viewers.  Show less
