For decades, Bollywood seems to have been inspired, be it in terms of themes or stories by its American counterpart Hollywood.
And now it seems like Hindi filmmakers are looking away from American shores, at least when it comes to official remakes. Confused?
Buzz is that Tigmanshu Dhulia is making a film on love, betrayal and friendship titled as Yaara, featuring Vidyut Jamwal, Irrfan Khan, Shruti Haasan and Amit Sadh in the lead.
Now, we've learnt that the film isn't based on an original screenplay but is an official remake of Les Lyonnais, a 2011 French drama directed by Olivier Marchal.
Not much to be spoken about, but there are quite a lot of parts keeping the gist of the story intact.
Now that is something we will only know in the future when both the film releases.
So what do you think viewers? Is Bollywood trying to follow new trend, or there is short of original ideas?
