India's first hydrogen train set for July 17 launch

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off India's first hydrogen-powered train between Jind and Sonipat on July 17, marking an important step towards the adoption of clean and sustainable mobility in the railway sector.

PM Modi will visit Haryana, Chandigarh and Punjab on 17th July 2026. At around 11 AM, Prime Minister will flag off India’s first Hydrogen train between Jind and Sonipat at Jind railway station.
