Irrfan Khan was honoured with the award on March 27 at the 8th Asian Film Awards held in Macau. Twenty-six films from 13 countries and regions vied for 14 prizes this year which included Irrfan's movie The Lunchbox. Director Ritesh Batra who was also awarded for Best Screenplay during the event.
