Not on the roads, nor in the air, this time it's the water machine that had inspired Rolls Royce to announce its Phantom Drophead Coupe Waterspeed Collection.
Created to honor Sir Malcom Campbell's water speed record attempt that happened in1937 on Lake Como, in Italy. Campbell used a Bluebird K3 hydroplane boat, powered by a "Rolls-Royce" engine to hit the new speed record of 208.4 kph on water.
Now, the assorted Drophead Coupe features special blue paint inspired by the Bluebird's colour scheme. The standard teak deck of Phantom Drophead Coupé is now replaced by steel. Steering wrapped in black leather, features blue accents. Other exclusivities are also maintained as per the demand of special edition.
Only 35 examples are announced to be made. Technical specifications are said to be retained same to that the standard Phantom Drophead Coupe.  Show less
