Meet 'Pahad Pati': The Woman Who Guarded a Forest Alone for 15 Years!

Jashpur, Chhattisgarh: A woman has been given the title of 'Pahad Pati' by her villagers for her initiative of protecting the forests.
The woman who has been given the title of 'Pahad Pati' says, "My name is Pahad Pati. I have been protecting the forest for the past 15 years. Previously, outsiders used to come here and cut down the forest, but I have protected it by keeping a constant vigil. This forest has many precious trees like Sarai, Saja, and Bija, which we have protected. Wild animals also frequent the area. Police officers sometimes visit the forest, but I don't see them often."
